This one started as a picture in my head before we got to the course: a golf ball caught at the instant it explodes off the club. That was the shot I came for, and the whole session built toward it.

Three attempts at one shot

I know, I know: a photographer with an idea. But the exploding golf ball was the key shot of the whole shoot, so we gave it three attempts to get it right.

In the end, the first attempt turned out to be the best one. The rest of the day gave Talon a full set of golf sportraits on the course to sit alongside it.
